Who we are
Nathan and Erin Rittenhouse (and four handy kids) enjoy keeping their heads in good books and their hands in the soil. Nathan grew up in Green Bank, WV and after taking a 10-year lap around several states and continents was able to return in 2016.
Spending 3 years in New England opened our eyes to the possibilities of growing year-round in agriculture zone 5. We’ve cross-pollinated modern growing techniques with the old-school wisdom of those that have been growing in these hills for decades. It’s all a big experiment! Working with biological systems provides plenty of opportunities for pleasant surprises and unexpected frustrations. At least we often get to eat parts of our mistakes! At the end of the day, we just really enjoy watching good things grow in all categories of life, and it is a blessing to have a chance to cultivate good food in this corner of the world.
